Getting to Dublin • Dublin Airport > Coach > City Centre
The coach ticket costs between 13-15€ for a return trip.
Average accommodation price ~ 170€ per night.
Dublin has a rather small city centre, and even though accommodation prices might feel overwhelming, it's worth considering something within a walking distance from Temple Bar.
The Fitzwilliam Hotel ✩✩✩✩✩
High-End • 300 - 500€ per night
Located by the local's favourite - St. Stephen's Green. This hotel is very central, and with good connections to the City Centre and Airport.
The Dean Hotel ✩✩✩✩
Mid-Range • 170 - 300€ per night
Amongst the beautiful townhouses lies The Dean, a modern hotel with an amazing rooftop restaurante and café, and a pool!
The coach from the airport will stop only a short walk away and Temple Bar is within 15-20min walking distance.
Mid-Range • 190 - 250€ per night
Located by the famous Trinity College.
This modern and well decorated townhouse might be one of the best stays you will find in Dublin.
I recommend booking in advance to get a better rate and make the most out of your money.
Harcourt Hotel ✩✩✩
Budget • 100 - 120€ per night
This Townhouse is located right by a coach stop,
has a secure locker room for luggage storage and a charming mid-century setting from the moment you walk in.
Downside? The rooms might be small and bit dated, and there are many bars and clubs in the area (not too noisy in my experience).
small guide to a day in dublin...
Start with a FULL IRISH BREAKFAST or just a coffee at The Stage Door Café, in Temple Bar.
Alternatively, if you have stricter dietary requirements or prefer a diferente type of place/food - try:
Sophie's Rooftop at The Dean Hotel
Goose on the Loose in Portobello
A walk to Saint Patrick's Cathedral, with a stop at Christchurch Green.
Grab a drink & lunch at IRELAND's OLDEST PUB:
Explore Guinness Storehouse and then go for a stroll on the embankment.
The Guinness Storehouse is the furtherest atraction on this guide, although many will find that is walkable.
If the weather permits, make the best out of the journey by walking most of the way by the river Liffey.
End your day in Temple Bar, enjoy live music at most pubs.
For dinner, go for something traditionally Irish, The Old Mill will serves a simple but tasty menu.
TRY AMAZING IRISH TRADICIONAL FOOD
Seafood Chowder
Guiness Beef Stew
Shepherd's Pie
You might regret it, but only because you are too full to walk.
But! knock on the door labeled VCC with a little sticker, and be surprised by the beautiful Vintage Cocktail Club and it's extraordinary drinks - the perfect place to end your night in Dublin.
^this is the kind of place that you need to make a reservation in advance, and dress appositely^
